wow u all, Attila names belongs to the Turkic language, (and not turkish) and even Hungarian is close to Turkic language and if the Hungarian governmnet and people wish to see Attila as a hero then let it be. Because more then half of the world see Attila as a barbarian close to Hitler himself. Long Live the Turkic People and Its allies!!! by the way i am from Kyrgyzstan.

Attila was born in Hungary, establihed our Capitol (Buda)- Attila's brother name. This is Budapest today. Attila the hun is the grandgrandgrandfather of all Hungarians. WE proud of him. Actually Turk tribes and Hungarian tribes had common history in the 5-8th century AD. This could be the solution. We have many turk words but not from the 16th century when Ottoman empire invaded Hungary but much earlier times.

Attila the Hun and the Hunnic nation were not Turkish, because the Turkish would never have had to go to war against Hungary in the middle ages, whenever they invaded Europe because they would have sent a political figure to discuss a sort of business arrangement to allow safe passage and help with battles in the area. As we all know, this didnt happen.

the huns were a confederation of a turkic tribe the xiongnu and a finnic and ugric tribe according to physical anthropologists who have studied hun skulls.. the xiongnu was predominately mongoloid with caucasian admixture the finnic skulls were very similar to the modern Inhabitants of Finland Estonians and mari people the ugric skulls were similar to mansi people but with less caucasoid admixture.
