win096 ::: Favorites 2007-10-21 14:36:20 What is the big deal?! This reporter sounds like corruptions only can happen in China. Why don't do the Google search "Corruption" and any country name. BTW, Tony Cheng, Do you research on China's inflation rate before you open your mouth on Aj Jazeera. It's not "about 20%" as you said on October 17, 2007. Do you realize how much the effect is on a economic when the inflation is "about 20%"? __________________________________________________
win096 ::: Favorites 2007-10-21 14:50:23 Of course, no one expects a reporter to be that knowledgeable in economic. But he should at least to have the common sense that what an "about 20%" inflation rate could do to an economic. China has the inflation rate of 6.2% in September last month, 6.5% in the past August and that is the HIGHEST in the past 11 years. Tony Cheng probably should check where he got the idea that China has about 20% inflation rate in his report on October 17, 2007. __________________________________________________
win096 ::: Favorites 2007-10-21 15:02:35 It is well known fact that European Union organizations have serious corruption cases. For example, according to French International Herald Tribune (March 27, 2007), police in Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Italy raided European Commission headquarters, banks, company offices and homes in March 2007 in what Belgian prosecutors called an investigation into alleged corruption at the commission, the EU's executive branch. __________________________________________________
MustafaPresents ::: Favorites 2007-10-21 20:55:42 If Mao were alive today he'd say, "Where's my cut?" __________________________________________________
win096 ::: Favorites 2007-10-21 22:38:37 No matter how much Mao would get for his cut, there is no way to compare to what US Vice-President Dick Cheney has been getting from the Iraq War. Google "Dick Cheney Corruption" Oh, yes, how could we forgot George Bush. Bush signed "Corporate Corruption Bill" in July 2002 for other people to follow, but for himself, you have to Google "George Bush Corruption" __________________________________________________
MustafaPresents ::: Favorites 2007-10-22 01:30:39 Granted, Bush and Cheney are war criminals. What does that have to do with Mao's crimes? __________________________________________________
win096 ::: Favorites 2007-10-22 03:40:33 I don't think anyone can connect "Mao" with "corruption". About "crime", why don't you tell us what kind of "crimes" Mao, Bush and Cheney have committed, and how you compare their "crimes"? __________________________________________________
tchengaje ::: Favorites 2007-10-23 00:48:30 Hi Win096...the official government level of inflation is as you say 6.5%. Nonetheless, in the past year alone the rice price has doubled, pork increased by even more..and land prices have shot through the roof. Nobody can put an exact figure on inflation in China, but 20% is an estimate that many people feel reflects the true rising cost of living in China. __________________________________________________
win096 ::: Favorites 2007-10-23 22:50:36 tchengaje: Did you say "estimated"? Do you have any "estimate" that what a 20% inflation can do to a economic? 20% inflation was an undeniable major gross mistake that Tony Cheng has done. This is an internet information age and anyone can have this number at his fingertips. It was his job to do the clicks before he opened his month. He was not just ruining his job security, he was also ruining the reputation of Al Jazeera. __________________________________________________
win096 ::: Favorites 2007-10-23 22:55:51 A young Chinese engineer cannot afford to buy a $400,000 Ferrari, then he complains the "growing disparity between rich and poor", and he told Al Jazeera reporter that "I don't want to see the same government and same leaders" HaHaHa! What kind of garbage report is this? C'mon, Al Jazeera English, Be professional! __________________________________________________ |
