The song was a numer 9 hit in 1966. Sadly within 3 months Bobby Fuller was found dead in his car for reasons that are still being debated. Of interest is that their second charting song in 66 was Loves made a fool of you, written by Buddy Holley. Both were from Texas and if you listen closely you might feel as I do that this is possibly what Buddy Holley may have sounded like had he lived. |
