It's not just the e-mails centered around the AG office that are missing; it's years of e-mails involving scandals we both know about and may never know of. Prosecuter Fitzgerald even cited the WH as much awhile back. The Bush administration is the most secretive in American history. Usually when somebody is excessively secretive, that person is attempting to hide significant things. MILLIONS of e-mails don't just go missing over a period of years without it being a conscious act of malfeasance.

well, we do have what we have, but i would still say that the biggest obstacle for consistently serious and intelligent news is that it wouldn't sell. look at the Jim Lehrer News Hour, how many in virtual land are posting that?

Not sure, but isn't that format (straight whole reporting) prohibited by Bush's spankity new Patriot Act? Olbermann's too smart to not know precisely what the ground rules are for the near future. See: Imus. 'fraid we gotta live with what he can get away with for now.

doesn't olbermann realize that he is serving the left much more by not being tongue and cheek and gratuitously sarcastic and critical. he should tell the news straight to sink the right. WAKE UP, Olbermann.
